Just a random thought on how people perceive the intentions of others. Its human nature to want better for themselves. It is bred into us. A football player prays for a touchdown; a dedicated employee hopes for a raise; etc.

I have seen a lot of people complaining about what other people want, and it being selfish. If we lived in a society where all people wanted/prayed for something for someone else, we would have no high-paid football players; we would have no need for a raise.

If we as a whole cease being so concerned with our own status, we will evolve human nature past this destructive pattern.
