Smallville

supermanLogo.pngWell I was hoping for a lot more on the "Lana knows his secret" theme, but I guess the writers know bwetter than I do. Never been a huge fan of wresting, but the show was good none-the-less. After all, it is Smallville.

I do have the right to hope for a better show next time. Lana and Clark definately need to kindle some of that comic book romance.

That would make it more Superman style. Anyway, hope you tune in next time too!

The Reaping

OK, went to see this movie this weekend, and let me say it was awesome! I was hoping for more biblical proportions, but it was great nonetheless. Check out the website at http://thereapingmovie.warnerbros.com/.

The Return of Smallville

Well, Smallville finally returned with new episodes last night, and I was pretty excited! Again, was hoping for more drama since Lana knows Clark's sercet, but it was still up to my Superman standards!

Blake Lewis - American Idol?

OK, I have seen lots of these shows, but this has to be the best performance to date! The singing was also very good.

He has to be one of the most unique contestants, that has been worth anything, in all the seasons. His performance finalized the final two, Him and Jordin. Be sure to check out the American Idol site for more info!

Season 6 Finales

It's the time of the year for all of my favorite shows to end for the season. Smallville ended in it's usual suspence for me. A lot of meaningless fluff and the obvious fake death of Lana.

Good news is that a couple new shows will be coming to take it's place for the time it takes to get new episodes up.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

OK, I have been waiting to see this since the end of POTC 2. I must say that it was an excellent movie. There are parts that I bust out laughing - as well as the rest of the movie theater. I will not be making this a spoiler, just a post on the excellent acting, and stunning visuals of Keira Knightley, who was absolutely delicious.

Spiderman 3

Well, I took my youngest son to see this, and was pleasantly suprised. I was expecting a run-of-the-mill sequel, but this turned out to be a very good movie. A bonus was the fact that this movie had Kirsten Dunst!

Live Free or Die Hard

John McLane (Bruce Willis) was at it again! Save us from terrorists who are bent on destroying our way of life.

He did a good job in this movie too. Using excellent special effects and great character spin and witty sarcasm. I thought this movie was great, took my two kids to see it with me (8 and 9) and even though there was the use of excessive language, they thouroghly enjoyed it as well.

There was only one action scene that I thought was too much, but hey, who am I?

Transformers

OK, I had heard and thought this would be a good movie. There really is no way to spoil this movie, simply because it is a visual experience. You honestly have to see this movie to appreciate it.

The visual effects were superb, and the acting was top notch as well. The beginning had some language - but trust me - nothing your kids haven't heard before! Anyway, I would reccommend this movie to anyone!

Rush Hour 3

Well, after losing my blog password I finally got it again.

The whole family went to see Rush Hour 3 this weekend, and let me say that it had it's funny moments, but I hope that they end it here.

You could tell there were parts in the movie that they intended to be funny - but they just weren't funny. I don't want to spoil the movie for you, so I will just leave it at that. It i worth seeing as a matinee - but wouldn't pay the full price to see it as a night show.

Smallville Season 7

supermanLogo.pngWell, my favorite series comes back on this month! Can't wait to see how things unwrap this year. Almost every secret is out and this year will introduce Supergirl/Superwoman. She is supposed to have all the abilities Clark does with the exception that she will be able to fly.

The Sarah Conner Chronicles

I saw a commercial tyhe other day and had to find out what it was all about. I found this video and new I had to spread it being it was so hard to find.

This look spretty cool, but I wonder just how long they could stretch it out?

Heroes

OK, I am catching myself up on this show. Thanks to a weekend marathon by G4, which by the way is one of my favorite channels. They just need to carry them HD on Comcast!

Anyway, I have about 7 more episodes on DVR to watch - which I will get done by then end of the week for the Season 2 premiere on Saturday! I can't say why I didn't watch this show when it first came out, as I really don't know. All I can say is that if you haven't watched it yet, you need to go and get the series pack on Amazon or Ebay or something.

Heroes Season 2 Finale

Well, it's over and it ended well I think. The thing about watching the cast members die is knowing that all they have to do to bring them back is have one of the living ones throw a fit, stop time, go back in time and bring them back.

I will keep the spoilers to the next page.

The Dark Knight

free image hostOK, this looks so freaking awesome! You have to go to the website and check out the trailer. The Joker looks absolutely EVIL!

The casting company got back the major portion of the cast from the last Batman movie, and I have to say that I am very glad! Only one I didn't see is Katie Holmes, and I have to say that I am glad about that too.

I watched the preview in 1080p, and it was beautiful!

Dave Attell: Captain Miserable

I just watched this comedy special and this guy is crazy! He covers everything stupid that people do, or talk about doing, and the crap you wouldn't think about doing!

I foyu haven't heard of this guy, Google him and see what you get. His comedy special is still on HBO on Demand as of this post.

Cloverfield

OK, I saw this movie, and have to post about it!

I was really looking forward to seeing this for a while, as the teaser previews really wet your appetite.

HD-DVD and Blu-Ray

Well, I am finally making the time to comment on the HD-DVD and Blu-Ray war. It seems it is over, and Sony has won. This is good news for people like me, who have a Hi-Def TV and a Playstation 3.

Smallville

Well, we finally had a new episode of Smallville last week, and it was well worth the wait. You can tell that this will more than likely be the last seaosn of the show as they head up the conflict between Lex and Clark.

Smallville Season 8

Well, Season 7 is over, and the last episode stated season finale - not series finale. Luckily this ended in good fashion. I will post some spoilers in the Extended Entry. Anyway, I am so glad that there will be another season!

Indiana Jones' Return

Well, I saw the new Indiana Jones movie this weekend, and it lived up to the hype for me! Not only was Harrison Ford showing that he is an excellent actor, but Shia LaBeouf also showed that he can provide an excellent supporting role. I do hope that they can manage to make another sequel to this series.

Get Smart

Well, my kids were dying to see this for some reason, and to be honest I was a little curious about it. Anyway, it was a "good" movie, but that's about all I can say. Seems like they took a TV show from the 70's and tried to use the same humor in '08. Needless to say, that wasn't the best of ideas, but Steve Carell managed to pull out some very humorous moments.

Anywa, this is a good movie, and it had the delicious Anne Hathaway in it as well.

The Incredible Hulk

Even though I missed Ironman in the movie theater, I still had to go and see at least one new movie that I wanted to see.

I am very glad I went to see this movie, as it was an excellent one. There are not many ways to say how good a movie is, except for the fact that I would go and pay to see this again. The visuals were top tier and the plot was very good as well.

There were too many references to Stark for my taste as I think movies - unless sequels - should be entities of their own. Anyway, if you want to see a good one, spend the money and catch it.

USA Psych

Well, it's back! On top of that they came out with this fucking hilarious commercial for it:

If you have never seen this show - you have to catch it!

Batman: The Dark Knight

Well, after long anticipation, I finally got to do and see this new Batman film. Again, I have been waiting for this for a while, and was very excited. First, let me say, I was nto dissapointed - this was one of, if not the best, movies I have ever seen. On top of that it was over 2 hours long! Absolutely wonderful!

Pineapple Express

Well, I got to go and see this one without my kids. First time in a long time I have been to the movies without them. Anyway, this was without a doubt, one funny ass movie. James Franco was outstanding as a burnt out marijuana dealer. I was surprised to see him to comedy so well, being I have only seen him in Spiderman.

Of course, Seth Rogan was funny as usual. Either way, if you are looking for something with a crap load of laughs - then this is the movie for you to go and check out!
